Tin

Tin (Sn), a chemical element belonging to the carbon family. It is a soft, silvery white metal with a bluish tinge. Tin is widely used for plating steel cans used as food containers, in metals used for bearings, in the production of solder and to coat other metals to prevent corrosion.

Tin is nontoxic, ductile, malleable, and adapted to all kinds of cold-working, such as rolling, spinning, and extrusion. It is widely used in metal in the environmental and sustainability landscape, particularly in photovoltaic installations, electric vehicles, and electronics. The biggest producers of tin are China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Peru, Thailand, Bolivia and Myanmar.
